FAQ'S
Everything you need to know before you step on court for the first time.
ABOUT PADEL
Padel tennis is a racket sport played by 4 players (as in doubles) on a court 20 metres by 10 metres, that is enclosed by glass and mesh walls. It combines elements of tennis and squash and is played using tennis balls and plastic padel rackets.
Not at all. Padel is one of the easiest sports to pick up and can be played by all ages. Most people rallying within their first session. Padel welcomes all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced racket sports players.
Yes, padel is always played as 4 players (2v2). Four players are required to book a court. If you are a new player or beginner, and don't know fellow padel players, no problem. Keep an eye on the Cluny social channels as social sessions will be getting organised where you can meet and join fellow players.
Yes, but only after the ball has bounced on the floor first. Once it bounces on your side, it can then hit the glass or mesh and still be returned. A ball that hits a wall before touching the floor is out, unless its volleyed (struck out of the air before it bounces at all.)
